23Viola Tant was born in Georgia in the late 1890's (possibly in October 1897, as indicated in one record1) to parents 46Rhoden Tant1 and 47Narcissa Black.*

The 1900 census shows 23Viola as a toddler in Johnson County, Georgia.

Her father seems to have died sometime in the 1900's. In 1910 she was living with her sister Vestie and brother-in-law.2

She married 22Charlie Black on 19 April 1912.3

By 1920 the young couple had several children.4

23Viola died in 1924.5 I'm unsure what caused her death at such a young age. I've been unable to find a death certificate or an obituary.

She's buried in Red Bluff Missionary Baptist Church cemetery in Treutlen County at coordinates N32.39205 W82.68813. A photo of her grave is below.5 The inscription indicates that she was born in 1888, but since this is inconsistent with all previous records (including the 1900 census, which was taken when 23Viola was still a young child), it's almost certainly an error.

*46Rhoden and 47Narcissa married circa 1870 (as explained in his profile), and they were still married in 1900.1 Since we know that 46Rhoden is 23Viola's father,1 and since 46Rhoden and 47Narcissa were still married in 1897, one can reasonably assume that 47Narcissa is 23Viola's mother.
