39Elizabeth Norris was born circa 18541 in Georgia,1,2 probably in either Emanuel County (where her parents 78Jordan Norris and 79Julia Huffman had married in September 18533) or Johnson County, where we find them in the 1860 census:

She was still with her family in Johnson County in 1870.2

1870: 39Elizabeth's family in militia district 1202 (map), Johnson County, Georgia. Full page.2

Sadly, 39Elizabeth's whereabouts after the 1870 census are among the most enigmatic, frustrating genealogical research questions I've faced. As explained in her daughter 19Sallie's profile, 39Elizabeth seems to have had a relationship with a man named 38George Williams, and we find (passing/indirect) traces of both 39Elizabeth and 38George in a few later records involving their relatives, yet I haven't been able to identify 38George further, and 39Elizabeth all but disappears from the record.
