After 976Thomas' death in 1726,2 977Mary remarried to Ralph Hughes not long thereafter,3 certainly by 17 January 1732.4

This court record proves that after the death of her first husband 976Thomas, 977Mary remarried to Ralph Hughes.3

977Mary and Ralph probably lived in Prince William County, Virginia, in the same general area where she'd previously lived with her first husband. (Note that a large section of Stafford County became Prince William County in 1731.) In Prince William County on 12 August 1746, Ralph sold some farm animals, furniture, a pot, and a gun.5

977Mary outlived her second husband, too. After his death in 1767, she tried unsuccessfully to reclaim a slave whom her husband Ralph had improperly sold (in contradiction to the will of her first husband 976Thomas); this sparked a lawsuit some years later. 977Mary died in 1771.3

This court record notes 977Mary's death in 1771.3
