723Janet Griffin's parents are 1446Jonas Griffin1-3 and 1447Alice Bryan,2 as proven by 1446Jonas' will1 and by a case file for an inheritance dispute considered by North Carolina's Supreme Court in 1818.2,3

This excerpt from a North Carolina Supreme Court case file proves that 723Janet's parents are 1446Jonas Griffin and 1447Alice Bryan. 1447Alice's maiden name is provided earlier on the same page. Full page.2

Sometime before December 1785, 723Janet married 722John Bruton. For more information about their marriage, their lives together, etc., see his profile since that information won't be repeated here.

Her husband 722John's last known record was in February 1709,4 and he probably died soon thereafter, but 723Janet survived him by a about a decade or longer, since the aforementioned North Carolina case file, dated 22 February 1818, mentions her as "Jennet now the widow of John Brutin" and that she resided "in Georgia or in parts unknown to your orators." 2
