515Cecilia (or "Celia," her nickname in her husband's will1) married 514Silvanus Stokes. For more information on their marriage, their lives together, etc., see his profile since that information won't be repeated here.

Her husband had died by June 1766,1 but 515Cecilia survived him by more than a decade. In her will, dated 29 August 1775 and proved 19 October 1786, she describes herself as being from Albemarle Parish and Sussex County, Virginia, the same county noted in her husband's will. Unlike his will, 515Cecilia's will names only three of her children—sons Marcus and Micajah, and daughter 257Elizabeth—but does allude to other children. Her will also mentions three slaves: Jesse, Emanual, and another unnamed slave used by her daughter 257Elizabeth.2

The record copy of 515Cecilia's will is shown below, alongside a transcription.2
