349Frances C. Hunter was born in Georgia circa 1797.1,2

Problem: Unresolved
Who are 349Frances' parents?

Since 349Frances married in Hancock County, Georgia in 1811,3 it's likely that her birth family was living in Hancock County around that time.

Hancock County's 1812 tax digest includes two Hunter households: James Hunter's,4 and Jane Hunter's.5

In 1820 Jane was age >45 and living totally alone,6 and she had died by 9 March 1821.7 She seems rather elderly, so it's less likely that she could've born 349Frances in 1797. Furthermore, in 1812 Jane was living in a different militia district than newlyweds 349Frances and her husband 348James.5,8

James Hunter, on the other hand, did live in the same militia district (i.e., Turner's) as 349Frances and 348James in 1812.4,8

Sadly, I have found him in no other records. He is not in Hancock County's estate records H- index, nor do I find him in the 1820 census. I have not made an exhaustive search, however.

She married 348James Logue in Hancock County, Georgia on 16 July 1811.3 For more information about their marriage, their lives together, etc., see his profile since that information won't be repeated here.

After 349Frances apparently separated from her husband, a deed dated 16 July 1855 describes the property where 349Frances was living.9 It was in Hancock County's 113th militia district (map), but unfortunately I've been unable to pinpoint the specific land lot. This deed is also the only record I've found that shows 349Frances' middle initial, C.

An 1857 tax digest affirms that 349Frances still had the abovementioned 50 acres that her son Wiley had loaned to her.10

The 1860 census shows 349Frances ("Fannie") still in Hancock County, living with a young man named William Logue and next door to John Logue,2 presumably descendants of hers (although I haven't researched their relationships). This census is the last record I have found of 349Frances.
