The 1840 census shows 234Jacob with a growing family in Cherokee County, Georgia. The numbers below represent: 1 boy age 0-4, 1 boy age 5-9, 1 boy age 10-14, 1 man age 30-39, 1 girl age 0-4, 1 girl age 5-9, and 1 woman age 30-39.4

The 1850 census shows 234Jacob in nearby Cass County, Georgia. This census is the first record to show his wife's name: Sarah.1 The death certificate of their daughter Delpha shows her mother's name as Sarah Phillips.5 Unfortunately, without evidence of when 234Jacob and Sarah married, I can't be certain that Sarah was the mother of 234Jacob's older children.

In 1870 they were living in Wilcox County, Alabama. The census shows that 234Jacob and Sarah were both illiterate.3 This census is the last record I've found of 234Jacob.
