21Mattie was born 18 June 18882 in Johnson County, Georgia3 to her parents 42Andrew Copeland and 43Sarah Elizabeth Love.4

In 1890 she was probably living in milita district 1326 (map), Johnson County, Georgia (since her father paid property tax there5). By 1900, though, her family had moved to Montgomery County.4

In 1904 she married Floyd Lockhart.6 By 1910 they had two daughters and had moved to Laurens County.7 They later had one more child, but Floyd died in 1911. He was only about 29 years old. His obituary doesn't specify what killed him.6

Three years later (on 15 July 1914), 21Mattie married 20Joseph Preston "Buck" Geiger. For more information about their marriage, their lives together, etc., see his profile since that information won't be repeated here.

21Mattie died at a hospital in Dublin on 8 October 1966. Her obituary3 and a photo of her grave8 are shown below.

She also left a will, which is copied below.9
