165Cemantha McLendon was born 1 May 18181 in Georgia,2,3 although nothing else is known of her early life. Indeed, her maiden name McLendon is known only from the death certificate of her son 82Thomas Davis:4

165Samantha presumably married 164Thomas Davis, although (1) no such marriage certificate has been found; and (2) the 1880 census lists Charlotte, presumably a different woman who is otherwise unknown, as 164Thomas' wife.5 Regardless, see 164Thomas' profile for more information about 165Samantha's residences, etc. since that information won't be repeated here.

165Samantha died on 4 September 1893 and is buried in Red Bluff Missionary Baptist Church, Treutlen County, Georgia at coordinates N32.39191 W82.68761. Her tombstone is pictured below.1
