153Ann ___ is mentioned by name in only two records: in an 1838 deed1 and on the tombstone of her son 76Joseph P. Williams.2 Both records are shown below, and from them we can easily deduce that:

153Ann was married to 74Randall Williams;
74Randall and 153Ann had children Unity, 76Joseph P., Susan, Elizabeth, John R., Nancy Ann, and Mary Williams;
74Randall and 153Ann were both alive on 25 August 1838, the date the deed was written; and
153Ann must be related to the grantor, Jessee Capps, since he describes her children as his "loving relations," although the exact nature of their relationship isn't specified. A father-daughter relationship seems very likely, but further evidence is lacking.

This 1838 deed mentions 153Ana, her husband 74Randal and children, and strongly suggests some unspecified relationship to Jesse Capps. Full page.1

We can assume that 153Ann had died by 5 October 1841, when her husband 74Randall married his second wife Penelope Jenkins in Houston County, Georgia.3

Using what we've learned so far, we can now look back at 74Randall's household in the 18304 and 18405 censuses, knowing that 153Ann must be included even if she isn't individually named.

1840: 75Ann's family in Houston County, Georgia. Full page.5
The official date for this census was 1 June 1840, so 153Ann must have been alive then.

Both censuses indicate that 153Ann was born sometime between 1800 and 1810.4,5

75Ann probably died in Houston County, since she was there in 1840,5 and since her husband remarried there the following year.3
