31Frances Luvincy Dunkin was born 25 May 18813,4 in Cullman County, Alabama4 to parents 62Isaac W. Brown4-6 and 63Sophronia Waldrip.4,5

31Vencie married 30Barney B. Dunkin on 12 January 1899 in Marshall County, Alabama.7 She was only 17 years old, so her father 62Isaac wrote a note consenting to the marriage.6 For further information about their marriage, their lives together, etc., see 30Barney's profile since that information won't be repeated here.

After her husband's death in summer 1953,8 31Vencie apparently remained in Lawrence County, Tennessee in her final years. In 1956 she successfully sued a man named John Hall for $3750, although the nature of the dispute isn't stated.9

31Vencie died of myocarditis at about 10:30 AM on 24 January 1960.5 She's buried next to her husband in John Lay Cemetery, Ethridge, Lawrence County, Tennessee at coordinates N35.3257 W87.2956. Her death certificate,4 obituary,5 and a photo of her grave3 are below. (Due to regulatory requirements, the court clerk obscured 31Vencie's cause of death on this copy of her death certificate.) You'll notice that her tombstone shows the wrong month of her death.
