In December 1956 she wrote two letters to her son Thomas, who was at a V.A. hospital in Tennessee, about arrangements for him to come for Christmas. You can see facsimiles of those two letters here: 9 December and 17 December 1956.9,10

13Omie had a stroke and died on 10 August 1960.5 Her obituary11 and death certificate5 are copied below. I also have a copy of the bulletin from her funeral service.12
