Minutes of the Lower Lotts Creek Church

Georgia      Bulloch County     1833

We the church at Lower Lotts Creek constituted by the Brethren
Elder William Cone and Henry Cook on the 13 day of Sept.
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one

The articles of our faith are as follows

First we believe in one only true and living god and that there
are three persons in the god head viz the Father son holy Ghost.

Second We believe in the fall of man and his inability to re-
cover himself.

Third We believe Jesus Christ to be the son of God 1Tim 11-5

Fourth We believe in the particular election effectual calling
of the elect and final perseverance of the saints.

Fifth We believe the scripture of the old and new testament
to be the word of god and the one true of faith and practice.

Sixth We believe that baptism and the Lord's supper and washing
of feet are sacraments of Jesus Christ and that believers are
the only subjects of these ordinances and that no man has a
right to administer these ordinances but such as are regularly
called and come under the imposition of hands by a presbytery.

Seventh We believe that immersion is the scriptual mode of
baptism.

Eighth We Believe in the resurrection of (the) dead.

Ninth We believe in a final judgment.

Tenth We believe in a future state of rewards and punishments
and that of eternal duration.
