State North Carolina} This Indenture made the Twenty third day
Beaufort County	} February One thousand Seven Hundred & Eight
Four, Between John Everitt of the State & County aforesaid of the one part
And Joseph Jones of the aforesaid State and county of Tyrrell, Gentleman
of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Everitt for and in Consideration
of the Sum of Forty Pounds Current money of the State aforesaid to him in
Hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged & he the said John
Everitt hath by thse presents Granted, Bargained & sold and by these presents
Doth Grant, Bargain & sell unto the said Joseph Jones his heirs & assigns forever
A Certain tract of parcell of Land Lying and Being in the state aforesaid
Buted and Bounded as follows begining on the West Side of Pamplico[?] _
Between Oglesbes Line & the Horte[?] Swamp Beginning at a pine on the West
Side of said road running south 200 poles to a pine on the same side of the
Road then East 40 poles to a pine then North 100 pole to a pine then West
Forty Pole from thence to the Bracnh that bordes the said land from the
Land of Thomas Adams then along the meanders of the said Branch to th
Pecosion[?] then along the pecosion[?] to the first station Containing by Estima
tion one Hundred acres of Land be the same more or less to have to hold
th said Granted and Bargained premises with all the appurtenances ___
ledges and Commodities to the same Beloning or in anywise appertaining
to him the said Joseph Jones his heirs & assigns forever. Furthermore the ___
John Everitt for me my heirs Executors Administrators &c. do Covenant Promise
And Grant to and with the said Joseph Jones his heirs and ___ than
Before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof, I am the True sol & Lawfull
Owner of the premises and have in my self, good right full power & Law
full authority to sell and Dispose of the same and I the said John Everitt
Do Hereby Bind myself my Heirs administrators and assigns to ___
Secure and Defend the Said Land + Premises to the said Joseph Jones his
Heirs and assigns against the Lawfull claim + Demand of any Person
and Seal the Day and Date abovewritten ~
