5784Jerom's cattle mark registration record dated 1 July 1665 alludes to 5785Elizabeth but doesn't mention her by name, and proves that she had been given cattle by "Esqr Yardley when she was a child." 4


1665: 5784Jerom registers his cattle mark, alludes to his wife (i.e., 5785Elizabeth) without naming her, and shows that she had some assocation with the Yardley family. Full page.4

Her husband's will, dated 14 March 1707/8, mentions "my well beloved wife Elizabeth Griffeth," to whom he leaves "all and Every Part and parcell of my goods and chattles that I am now Possessed to her own Proper use and Disposall during her naturall life." 5

The last known record that alludes to 5785Elizabeth is the will of her son James, who stated a desire for his "daughter Martha to be and remaine with my mother soe Long as mother shall Live." The will is dated 27 February 1716/7 in Northampton County, Virginia.6
