361Vicey Bruton was born in Virginia circa 1783.1 Her father is 722John Bruton, as proven by an 1808 gift deed.2 We can reasonably infer that her mother was 722John's wife 723Janet Griffin.*
These excerpts from 722John Bruton's gift deed to his children and grandchildren prove that he is 361Vicey's father. Full page.2
361Vicey married 360Robert Black in Warren County, Georgia on 18 March 1795.3 For more information about their marriage, their lives together, etc., see his profile since that information won't be repeated here.
The 1850 census shows 361Vicey and 360Robert together in Emanuel County, Georgia. It's the last record I've found of either of them. Neither she nor 360Robert is in Emanuel County's 1851 tax digest.

361Vicey was born circa 1783.1 Her father 722John married 723Janet Griffin sometime before December 1785, as explained on his page. The short timespan between these events strongly suggests that 723Janet is 361Vicey's mother.
Hypothetically, 722John could have had an earlier, unidentified wife who birthed 361Vicey circa 1783, promptly died, and then 722John quickly remarried to 723Janet sometime before December 1785. However, this hypothesis seems exceedingly unlikely in light of the short timespan involved (In my experience, the premature death of a wife typically causes a gap of at least 3-4 years and often longer before a man's next child is born.) and 722John's apparent youth (Despite a paucity of records, we can guess at his age from his participation in the Revolutionary War and from other records. He was probably relatively young in 1785, and thus any hypothetical, earlier, unidentified wife probably would've been young, too, and thus unlikely to die at a young age.)
