242Henry Reid was born 3 February 1773 to parents 484George Reid and 485Catharine Chambers.1

For two years in the mid-1790's, 242Henry served under Captain Jonas Fouche to defend Georgia's frontier from attacks by Creek Indians.2


An excerpt from 242Henry's pension application for his service protecting the Georgia frontier.2

On 1 July 1835, "Henry Reid and Edy Reid his wife formerly Edy Harrison" signed a document for a court proceeding.3 Thus, we know that 242Henry's wife was 243Edith Harrison.3 They had probably married many years prior, although explicit documentation is lacking.
