197Talitha Grantham's first name is known from just one record: the will of her father 394Richard Grantham, which names "my daughter Talitha Ammons" as an heir. Her mother might be 394Richard's wife Sarah, who is also named in the will,1 but this is uncertain.

197Talitha's father's will is the only record that provides her given name. Full pages: 1, 2.1

197Talitha was born sometime between 1785 and 1790, as determined by comparing the relevant entries from the 18102 and 18303 censuses. She was probably born in Bladen County or Robeson County (which was created from Bladen County's territory in 1787), North Carolina, since her father lived there around the time of her birth.4,5

She married 196Stephen Ammons, probably circa 1809 and probably in/near Robeson County, North Carolina. For evidence proving their marriage, their lives together, their move to Houston County, Georgia, etc., see his profile since that information won't be repeated here.

197Talitha must have died by 23 December 1841, since that's when her husband 196Stephen re-married to his second wife Nicey Griffith.6
